My man and I love to eat. Not only eating out, we actually enjoy preparing food in our little kitchen, little but very well equipped kitchen. This beef wellington isn’t a very simple dish to prepare but it definitely worth trying. Set out the Beef Wellington on a side of a big round plate along with side dishes of green peas and potatoes and enjoy!

iPhone Apps: Count Up

Posted by Callista On Friday, March 05, 2010 0 comments

When I was small, I didn't get to buy new toy very often, so me and my sister create our own game with our own imagination. Tic Tac Toe was the most common one but we got bored very quick because it's a nine square boxes game, our little brain didn't get to workout a lot.

I wonder where the idea came from, we created this numbering game and we liked it. It's so random and every game we played was never similar to the last one.

One a blank paper, we randomly write the number, I will write all the odd number and my sister will write all the even number, from 1 to 100. After that, both of us use a different color pen, counting together the number from 1, search for the counted number that scattered on the paper and circle it. At the end of the game, the person who got to circle more number is the winner.

When I stumble on this game in the Apps Store, it reminds me of the good old days.

Count Up, when I first played this game, it was still very lightly design, only the game, no options, no score board which I have to manually print the screen to record the shortest completion time.

The game is easy, even a 4 year old child get to play this. It's just counting from 1 to 30, it sounds so childish but well, I always challenge myself trying to beat my own record.

So far, this is the best that I have got, 11.622 seconds completing 30 numbers.

Challenge me!!!

iPad, New Item On My Wish List.

After much waiting and speculating, Apple finally unveils the iPad to the world. Being in an Apple fanatic family, we have a few insider information on the iPad long before it launched. But visualizing can never compare to holding it in the hand.

We are waiting to have another new member to our Apple family of Macbooks, Macbook Pro, iPhones and iPods.

  • Accessing iTunes anywhere without lugging my macbook, accessing application on the go.

  • Oh my god, my paperless book shelf, it looks real.

  • Reading email on a bigger screen than my iPhone.

  • Viewing images on digital photo frame iPad.

It will look kinda cute if I line up my iPhone next to the iPad, the dad and son.
Get notified when you can head to apple store to get yourself an iPad. I really can't wait to get my hand on it.
iPad, in style.

iPhone Apps: Organizer.

2009 has come to an end. Times flies, I couldn’t really recall each and every events happened in 2009 which I certainly wish to keep in my memory. I keep a personal blog to track as detail as I can of my live but access my blog would need access to internet, but the facility from where I am living doesn’t allow me to have the luxury to have internet access everywhere.

I have been considering buying a diary and picking up the habit of writing diary all over again, but I can’t convince myself that I will bring my diary with me everywhere I go. Diary doesn’t have the option for me to attach an image easily unless I print out the image and stick it on.

Until I found this application of iPhone, Organizer, developed by aesthology.

The first impression indeed important, the striking red color of the icon design certainly made it the winner among all applications of its category.

This application works like a real organizer and personal assistant. I can write text and choose the font color that make it more standout from the bunch of notes that I have written down. I change the font to Marker Felt to make it looks like written by pen, it’s decent. What’s more to ask when I can add emoticon into my diary without additional drawing, there are about 50 emoticons to choose from and I hope they will add in more and more emoticon on every update.

I insert pictures to my organizer note and it works like my mobile blog to keep track of my daily adventures, pictures are loaded from my iPhone Photos and drag the picture to the position that I think best matching the layout. There are features to record contacts, record and insert the voice memo to a note instead of writing which I am going to explore more.

The newest version of Organizer supports Google Calendar to synchronize on events and schedules and using Google Calendar’s reminder to notify of event. There is another cool features of backup and restore data, I doesn’t need to worry that I might lost all my notes, diary and schedule planning.

I have found the perfect tool for my daily schedule, to-do list, notes , diary and also a reminder.

Get yours today. Live in style.
